RAIRO - Theoretical Informatics and Applications is published under a Subscribe to Open (S2O) model. S2O is one of the transformative models that aim to move subscription journals to Open Access (OA). RAIRO - Theoretical Informatics and Applications is published in Open Access since 2021 under the S2O model.

Every year, as long as the minimum amount of subscriptions necessary to sustain the publication of the journal is attained, the content for the year is published in open access. Institutional support through the means of subscription renewal is essential to maintain the open access model in the long term.
